CHANGES IN DIRECTOR'S SHAREHOLDING

Mountview  has today received notification from  Mr.  Duncan
Sinclair, Chairman, of the following change to his interests
in the ordinary shares of the Company:

Sold from beneficial interests: 
             9,700 shares at £22 on 24th August 1999

The   shares   were  sold  to  Frank  and  Daphne   Sinclair
Grandchildren's Settlement Trust of which Mr. Sinclair has a
non-beneficial interest.

Mr.   Sinclair's   total  interest  (beneficial   and   non-
beneficial)  in  the  ordinary  shares  of  Mountview   thus
becomes:
