MOUNTVIEW ESTATES P.L.C. ('MOUNTVIEW' OR 'THE COMPANY')

Proposed Share Buy-Back

Mountview has been informed that, following the announcement made earlier
today concerning a proposed share buy-back ('the Buy-Back') of 688,061
ordinary shares of 5p each ('Mountview shares') from BPT plc ('BPT'), BPT and
its subsidiaries have sold 302,010 Mountview shares (6.58% of the issued share
capital of Mountview). BPT now holds 688,061 Mountview shares (14.99% of the
issued share capital), all of which remaining shares are subject to the
Buy-Back. Assuming the shareholders of Mountview approve the Buy-Back and its
terms, BPT and its subsidiaries will, once the Buy-Back is completed, own no
Mountview shares.
