Mulberry Group PLC 01 September 2004 Mulberry Group Plc ('the Company') 1 September 2004 MULBERRY TO DEVELOP JAPANESE MARKET Mulberry, the English luxury lifestyle brand, announces that agreement has been reached with Mitsui & Co Ltd and Sanki Shoji Co Ltd to import and distribute the Mulberry brand in Japan. Sanki Shoji, which imports and distributes high end European brands including Max Mara Fashion Group, Etro, Maurizio Pecoraro and Krizia, has a distribution network servicing 3000 retailers and 150 company owned shops throughout Japan. The first Mulberry shop-in-shop will open at Maruzen, in the Nihombashi district of Tokyo during the first week of October. There will be limited wholesale distribution to specially selected accounts from Spring next year.
