MURRAY INCOME TRUST PLC - SHARE BUY-BACK


On 11 August 2004 Murray Income Trust PLC purchased for cancellation 535,000 of
its own ordinary shares at 426p per share.

Following the transaction the Company's issued ordinary share capital is
68,987,458 ordinary shares of 25p each.
