MURRAY INCOME TRUST PLC - SHARE BUY-BACK


On 19 August 2004 Murray Income Trust PLC purchased for cancellation 80,000 of
its own ordinary shares at 425.5p per share.

Following the transaction the Company's issued ordinary share capital is
68,907,458 ordinary shares of 25p each.
