In accordance with UKLA Listing Rule 21.20 (1)(ii) and on behalf of the
investment trusts under its management, Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited
announces the following portfolio disclosures as at 30 September 2007, in other
UK listed investment companies (including investment trusts) which themselves do
not have a stated investment policy to invest no more than 15% of their gross
assets in other UK listed investment companies (including investment trusts):

Note 1:

At the close of business on 30 September 2007 the Company had portfolio
protection in the form of a put option protecting 9.6% of the portfolio at a
strike level of 5925 for the FTSE 100 Index.  At that date, the value of this
option represented 0.13% of the Company's Gross Assets.
