Purchase of Own Security

MURRAY INCOME TRUST PLC - SHARE BUY-BACK


On 14 May 2004 Murray Income Trust PLC purchased for cancellation 20,000 of its
own ordinary shares at 423.25p per share.

Following the transaction the Company's issued ordinary share capital is
69,734,618 ordinary shares of 25p each.
