Recommended Proposal
for
Purchase by the Company of its own Ordinary and B Ordinary Shares
At the Extraordinary General Meeting held on 26 July 1999 and at the adjourned
Separate Class Meetings of the holders of Ordinary Shares and B Ordinary
Shares both held today, 2 August 1999, the recommended proposal was duly
passed.
The authority for the Company to purchase its own shares will become effective
once the Court has sanctioned the cancellation and repayment of the 4.25 per
cent Cumulative Preference Shares.
