Transaction in Own Shares

MURRAY INCOME TRUST PLC - SHARE BUY-BACK


On  5 January 2005 Murray Income Trust PLC purchased for cancellation 10,000  of
its own ordinary shares at 495p per share.

Following  the  transaction  the  Company's issued  ordinary  share  capital  is
68,757,046 ordinary shares of 25p each.
