Transaction in Own Shares

MURRAY INCOME TRUST PLC - SHARE BUY-BACK


On  11 January 2005 Murray Income Trust PLC purchased for cancellation 29,588 of
its own ordinary shares at 498p per share.

Following  the  transaction  the  Company's issued  ordinary  share  capital  is
68,457,458 ordinary shares of 25p each.
