Appointment of New Director

The Board of Murray International Trust PLC is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Kevin Carter as an independent non-executive director of the Company with effect from 23 April 2009.  

Mr John Trott, Chairman, commented:

'Dr Carter has had a very successful career in investment both within asset management and as an adviser to pension funds and will bring valuable expertise to the Board.'

Dr Carter was, until recently, Managing Director and Head of EMEA Pension Advisory Group at JP Morgan Securities. Prior to that Dr Carter was Head of the European Investment Consulting Practice at Watson Wyatt and formerly CEO and CIO of Old Mutual Asset Managers in both the UK and the US.

There are no disclosures required to be made in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) - (6) of the Financial Services Authority's Listing Rules.
