Announcement of First Interim Dividend
The Board has today declared a first interim dividend in respect of the year
ending 31 December 2007 of 4.3p net (2006 3.80p) which will be payable on 14
August 2007 to Ordinary shareholders on the register on 6 July 2007, provisional
ex dividend date 4 July 2007.
In accordance with the terms of the Articles of Association of the Company the
Directors have resolved to make a corresponding bonus issue of B Ordinary
shares. This capitalisation issue is equivalent in asset value to the first
interim dividend payable on the Ordinary shares, but excluding any tax credit
thereon. Definitive certificates in respect of the new B Ordinary shares arising
from the capitalisation will be posted on 14 August 2007 to holders of B
Ordinary shares on the register as at close of business on 6 July 2007. Further
details of the number of new B Ordinary shares to be issued will be announced in
due course.
