MURRAY INTERNATIONAL TRUST PLC
As announced on 1 August 2000, Fred Shedden and John Trott have been appointed
directors of Murray International Trust PLC with effect from 23 October 2000.
Fred Shedden (56), formerly senior partner of McGrigor Donald, solicitors,
from 1993 until his retirement from the firm in April 2000 is an independent
director of Burn Stewart Distillers plc, iomart plc, Martin Currie Japan
Investment Trust plc and a member of The Scottish Further Education Funding
Council. On 2 October 2000 he acquired 1,000 ordinary shares at a price of
533p and has become a member of the Murray Investment Trust Savings Scheme,
making a monthly contribution to it. Through the Murray Investment Trust
Savings Scheme, he acquired a further 49 shares at a price of 504p, bringing
his holding at the time of his appointment to 1,049 ordinary shares.
Announcements regarding further monthly purchases will be made as and when
statements are received from the Scheme's Administrator.
John Trott (62) is currently chairman of The Standard Life Assurance Company
and of The Brunner Investment Trust plc. He holds 5,000 shares in Murray
International Trust PLC.
