                           Notification of interest
                                       
The  Company  received  notification  yesterday  from  Fidelity  International
Limited  (parent holding company for various direct and indirect subsidiaries,
including  Fidelity  Investment Services Ltd and Fidelity Pension  Management)
that  it is interested in 1,000,000 Ordinary Shares representing 3.05% of  the
issued  ordinary share capital and registered in the name of Clydesdale  (Head
Office)  Nominees  Limited.  This notification also comprises  the  notifiable
interest  of  Mr  Edward  C  Johnson 3rd, principal  shareholder  of  Fidelity
International Limited.

The  Company has also received notification of interest from Friends  Ivory  &
Sime  plc  that  its  client,  the AIM Trust plc is  interested  in  2,950,000
Ordinary  Shares  representing 9.01% of the issued share capital  following  a
disposal  of  550,000 ordinary shares on 5 July 2000.  Friends Provident  Life
Office,  as the holding company of Friends Ivory & Sime plc is also interested
in the above which are registered in the name of Direct Nominees Ltd.
