Notification under the DTR Sourcebook; that L&G's total interest was in 4.12% of
NG ordinary shares (111,803,477 shares) at 21 February 2007 (having previously
notified a 4.04% interest at 5 December 2006).



This notice is given in fulfilment of National Grid plc's obligation under DTR
5.8.12.
