THE ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND GROUP plc APPOINTS SIR STEVE ROBSON AS
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Sir Steve Robson is to join the Board of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group as a
non-executive director.
Sir Steve (57) is a former senior civil servant, having retired in January
2001 as Second Permanent Secretary of HM Treasury, where he was Managing
Director of the Finance Regulation and Industry Directorate.
Sir George Mathewson, Chairman of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, said: 'I
am delighted that Sir Steve has agreed to join the Group. His range of
experience in the public sector and its interface with industry represents a
further strengthening of our Board.'
The appointment takes effect from 25 July 2001.
