            Notification of Directors' and PDMR Interests in Shares


The Company was advised on 1 May 2007 by the Trustee of the Northumbrian Water
Group plc Share Incentive Plan (the "Plan") that on 1 May 2007 it purchased 458
ordinary 10 pence shares in the Company ("Ordinary shares") at £3.2750 per share
on behalf of each of John Cuthbert (Director), Chris Green (Director) and Ceri
Jones (PDMR).


In addition, pursuant to the rules of the Plan, Mr Cuthbert, Mr Green and Mr
Jones were each granted a further 153 Ordinary shares for nil consideration.


Following these purchases and grants Mr Cuthbert has an interest in 130,526
Ordinary shares, Mr Green has an interest in 93,218 Ordinary shares and Mr Jones
has an interest in 18,234 Ordinary shares, representing approximately 0.03%,
0.02% and 0.004% of the issued Ordinary share capital of the Company
respectively.
