Northumbrian Water Group PLC 06 February 2007 Northumbrian Water Group plc (the "Company") Notification of PDMR's interests and Dealing by employee trust The Company has been informed that Northumbrian Water Share Scheme Trustees Limited (the "Trustee") of the NWG Long Term Incentive Plan (the "Plan") has today, 6 February 2007, transferred 16,201 ordinary 10 pence shares, representing 0.003% of the Company's issued capital, at nil cost to Ceri Jones, a person discharging managerial responsibility ("PDMR") pursuant to the rules of the Plan. The transfer of shares is pursuant to a conditional award of shares made on 27 January 2004. Of these, 6,576 shares (0.001%) were sold to meet tax liabilities, and the balance of 9,625 shares was transferred to Mrs K Jones. Mr Jones' beneficial holding in the Company is now 17,623 shares, representing 0.003% of the Company's issued share capital. Following this reduction, the Trustee holds 816,894 shares, representing 0.158% of the Company's issued share capital. The Trustee holds these shares in order to satisfy awards made under the Company's LTIP, and so John Cuthbert and Chris Green, as executive directors of the Company, and Ceri Jones and Graham Neave, as PDMRs, are potential beneficiaries of these shares held by the Trustee.
