Notification of Director / PDMR Interests in Shares

The Company was today advised by the Trustee of the Northumbrian Water Group plc Share Incentive Plan (the "Plan") that on 4 May 2010 it purchased 539 Ordinary 10 pence shares in the Company ("Ordinary shares") at £2.78 per share on behalf of each of Chris Green (Director) and Ceri Jones (PDMR).

In addition, pursuant to the rules of the Plan, Mr Green and Mr Jones were each granted a further 180 Ordinary shares for nil consideration.

Following these purchases and grants Mr Green has an interest in 175,711 Ordinary shares and Mr Jones has an interest in 45,406 Ordinary shares, representing approximately 0.03% and 0.008% of the issued Ordinary share capital of the Company respectively.
