              Financial Timetable and Appointment of Joint Brokers



Northumbrian Water expects to announce its preliminary results for the period
ending 31 March 2004 on 9 June 2004.  Key dates following the announcement of
the results are expected to be:


Ex-dividend date for the 2003/2004 final dividend               14 July 2004

Record date for the 2003/2004 dividend                          16 July 2004

Annual General Meeting                                         3 August 2004

Payment of 2003/2004 final dividend to shareholders           13 August 2004



The Company expects to announce its interim results for the six months ending 30
September 2004 on 7 December 2004.





The Company also announces that it has appointed Deutsche Bank AG to act as
joint corporate brokers along with Collins Stewart.
