The Company has been informed that on 9 December 2005, 185,541 Ordinary 10p
shares in the Company were conditionally allocated by the Trustee of the NWG
Long Term Incentive Plan to the Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial
Responsibility (PDMR) of the Company as set out below. The vesting of these
awards is subject to the achievement of performance targets at the end of a
three year performance period.
