Director - Mr I F H Grant
Royal Bank Group announces, with regret, that Mr I F H Grant, a Non-executive
Director of the Company and of its principal subsidiaries, The Royal Bank of
Scotland plc and National Westminster Bank Plc died on 2 December 2000.
Commenting, Viscount Younger, Chairman said 'Ian Grant has served as a
Director of the Royal Bank Group with great distinction since his appointment
as a Director of the Royal Bank in 1982 and the Royal Bank Group in 1985,
during which time he had also served as Chairman of our Personnel Committee
since 1990.
We will miss his wise counsel and our thoughts are with his family at this
time'.
