THE ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND RETAIL BRIEFING
As part of an ongoing programme announced in April 2000, investors will today
be given a briefing on the Royal Bank of Scotland Group's Retail Banking
businesses.
Fred Goodwin, Group Chief Executive said 'Good progress is being made on
integrating the two banks and we remain on target to deliver on the promises
made to the market. Today's presentation, together with our presentation on
Corporate Banking and Financial Markets, scheduled for 8 November 2000, should
hopefully enable investors to better appreciate the scale of the new Group,
and the range of opportunities available to us'.
The briefing will take place today at UBS Warburgs, 1 Finsbury Avenue, London
at 10.30a.m.
