Newmark Security plc
("Newmark Security" or "the Company")
Trading Update
Newmark Security plc (AIM:NWT), a leading provider of electronic and physical security systems, is pleased to provide the following update on trading prior to the Company's Final Results for the year ended 30 April 2010 which will be announced in July 2010.
At the time of the Company's Interim Results announced on 18 December 2009, the Board highlighted that with the number of projects in hand, the prospects for the second half were extremely encouraging. Trading in the Asset Protection (Safetell) and Electronic (Grosvenor Technology) divisions has been good and in light of this, the Board expects to meet market expectations for the full year.
Maurice Dwek, Chairman of Newmark Security plc, said: "The Company continues to experience a high level of interest in its products and services, with Grosvenor recently signing two significant contracts with major global retailers. The muted recovery of the UK economy affects all our customers, but we look forward to the future with confidence particularly with the very exciting potential of our recent investment in technology in the cash-in-transit market."
