Documents available for inspection

In accordance with the Listing Rules, copies of the following documents have
been submitted to the UK Listing Authority:

   • Annual Report and Accounts 2008 (including the Notice of Annual General
     Meeting)
   • Form of Proxy

These documents will shortly be available for inspection at the UK Listing
Authority's document viewing facility, which is situated at:

The Annual Report and Accounts is also available on the Company website at
www.nextplc.co.uk.

The Company further announces that, in accordance with DTR 6.1.2, a copy of the
proposed new Articles of Association has also been lodged with the UK Listing
Authority for publication through the Document Viewing Facility. The principal
changes introduced in the new articles are set out in the Notice of General
Meeting.
