Next PLC announces that it has today purchased for cancellation 100,000 Ordinary
shares of 10p each at an average price of 1891.1126p per share.

The highest price paid was 1908.50 pence per share and the lowest price paid was
1866 pence per share. Such purchase was effected pursuant to irrevocable
instruction given prior to, and as announced by Next PLC on, 30 July 2007.
