AGM TRADING UPDATE
The Group has made a satisfactory start to the new financial year, against a
background of the marked economic slowdown in the USA and a tightening of the
market for technology-related PR services. The first six months have seen
investment in new office openings in New York, Atlanta and Palo Alto for Text
100, Hong Kong and Auckland for AUGUST.ONE, while Joe Public Relations has
also opened for business in New York and set up a new sister agency in London
called Joe Public Future.
The period has seen a steady flow of new business wins, including assignments
from e-business infrastructure specialist BEA (Text 100), British Gas and Coca
Cola (AUGUST.ONE) and BT (Bite). In the absence of unforeseen circumstances,
the Group expects to meet market expectations for the year to 31st July 2001.
