Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for 2,312,277 ordinary shares to be admitted to trading. These ordinary shares are to be issued as a scrip dividend alternative to receiving a cash dividend in respect of the dividend for the first quarter of the Company's 2018/19 financial year. Dealings are expected to commence at 8:00 a.m. on 28 September 2018.
Immediately following Admission, the Company's issued share capital will comprise 580,232,465 ordinary shares, none of which will be held in treasury. Each ordinary share carries the right to one vote and, therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company on Admission will be 580,232,465. This figure may be used by shareholders and other investors as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
