Update re. Tender Offer



Following Shareholder approval for the Tender Offer of Edinburgh US Tracker
Trust plc at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company held on 18 January
2008, the Company has, in accordance with the terms of the Tender Offer, now
sold investments from its portfolio to fund the consideration payable to
Shareholders who tendered their shares for cash. The Company expects to announce
the Repurchase Value for all exiting Shareholders by no later than 28 January
2008 in accordance with the timetable outlined in the document.





The definitions set out on pages 26 to 28 of the Company's circular dated 20
December 2007 shall bear the same meanings in this announcement.
