Transaction in Own Shares

EDINBURGH US TRACKER TRUST PLC


On 8 September 2004, Edinburgh US Tracker Trust plc bought back 190,000 ordinary
shares  for  cancellation at an average price of 480p per share.  Following  the
buy  back,  there are 86,666,164 ordinary shares in issue.  The  share  buy-back
will be financed out of the capital reserve.
