Transaction in Own Shares

EDINBURGH US TRACKER TRUST PLC


On  6  January  2005,  Edinburgh US Tracker Trust  plc  bought  back  1,000,0000
ordinary  shares  for cancellation at an average price of 488 pence  per  share.
Following  the  buy back, there are 83,931,164 ordinary shares  in  issue.   The
share buy-back will be financed out of the capital reserve.
