The Board has been notified today that employees have acquired 32,000 ordinary
shares of 5p each as the result of the exercise of options over 32,000 shares
granted to them on 15 July 1994 at a price of 38.75 pence per share.

Application will be made to the UK Listing Authority for admission of these
additional 32,000 ordinary shares to the Official List and to the London Stock
Exchange for admission to trading, with effect from Tuesday 29 June 2004.
