                            Purchase of Own Shares


On 4 July 2001 the Board of Northamber plc (the 'Company') bought for
cancellation 50,000 ordinary shares at 71p per share and 50,000 ordinary
shares at 72p per share, together representing 0.31 per cent of the Company's
issued ordinary share capital.
