                             Purchase of Own Shares



On 08 October 2002 the Board of Northamber plc (the 'Company') bought for
cancellation 50,000 ordinary shares at 56.5p per share, representing 0.15 per
cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.



Following the cancellation of these shares, the Company will have 32,414,000
ordinary shares in issue.
