                          Offer for subscription for the
2006/07 tax year

Northern 2 VCT PLC announces that the offer of shares for subscription in the
2006/07 tax year has been closed, and that any application received for the 2006
/07 tax year will be rejected.  This follows the changes to the tax regime for
venture capital trusts announced in the Budget on 22 March 2006 (which apply to
the 2006/07 tax year offer).  The offer of shares for subscription in the 2005/
06 tax year remains open on the terms set out in the prospectus.
