                              Director Resignation

14 January 2009

Mr. N. Desmond Smith tendered his resignation from the Board of the Company on
10 January 2009. The resignation has been accepted by the Board.

Mr. Smith felt that his position on the Board potentially placed himself in
conflict with certain of the re-structuring proposals described in the
announcement made on 24 December 2008.
