                                             Drilling Update

The Company is pleased to provide an update on its progress in the re-opening of specified wells within the Oktyabrskoe
field in North-western Crimea.

Surface preparation on Well #24 has been completed. The surface infrastructure has been pressure tested and certified by
State safety and regularity departments. A drilling crew is on site and the process to re open the well by drilling to
remove cement plugs commenced on 28 November 2007. Concurrently, significant surface preparation has been completed on
Well #10. Whilst work has been completed behind schedule, the Company is very pleased with the effort and co-operation
of the NAK Nadra Krymgeologia ("Krymgeologia") management team. The Company believes that delays experienced due to
labour and equipment problems have been resolved by the Krymgeologia management team and the Company is expecting that
progress will be faster henceforth.
