Board Appointments

 

The Board of Numis Corporation Plc is pleased to announce the appointment of   Catherine James (aged 59), as a Non-Executive Director to the Board. Catherine joins the Audit & Risk Committee, Remuneration Committee and Nominations Committee. Additionally, Numis is pleased to announce the appointment of David Poutney (aged 61) and Marcus Chorley (aged 53), both David and Marcus are statutory Directors of the trading entity, Numis Securities Limited. The respective appointments take place with immediate effect.

 

Non-Executive Director - Catherine James

Catherine James is currently Head of Investor Relations of Diageo Plc where she has worked for the business since 1997. Prior to that Catherine worked as Finance Director for Grand Metropolitan Estates and IR Director for Grand Metropolitan (prior to the merger with Diageo in 1997). Catherine's wide range of broad experience and influence, across both external and internal communications at Diageo combine to make her a highly regarded IR Director.   

 

Commenting on the appointment, Oliver Hemsley, Chief Executive, said:

 

"I am delighted to welcome Catherine James to the Board of Numis.  Catherine brings significant financial and commercial business experience combined with considerable knowledge of investor relationships both within and outside of the City.  Catherine's contribution will be valuable and insightful. Diageo Pension Trust Limited

Diageo Healthcare Limited

Executive Director - David Poutney

David Poutney joined Numis in 2001 and is Head of Corporate Broking.  David has had a long and distinguished career in the City, previously having started his career in commercial banking with Midland Bank before becoming a number one ranked financials analyst at a number of leading firms starting just prior to Big Bang in 1985.  

 

David Poutney's beneficial interest in Numis shares is 6,206,780 (5.39%)

 

There are no other details regarding the appointment of David Poutney that require disclosure under the AIM Rules.

 

 

 

Executive Director - Marcus Chorley

Marcus Chorley joined Numis in 2008 and is Head of Equities.  Marcus held positions at Warburg's and UBS from 1991- 2006, was MD Head of Euro Mid caps and then Head of Sales at Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander until 2008.  

 

Marcus Chorley's beneficial interest in Numis shares is 2,920,000 (2.54%)

 

There are no other details regarding the appointment of Marcus Chorley that require disclosure under the AIM Rules.
