Numis Corporation Plc ('Numis')

The Board of Numis announces that, on 13 December 2005, the Numis Corporation
Plc Employee Share Trust ('the Trust') purchased 387,988 (0.37%) Numis shares at
a price of 257p per ordinary share. Following this purchase the Trust now holds
8,517,847 (8.09%) Numis shares.

The Numis shares referred to above are Numis' ordinary shares of 5p each and the
total number of shares in issue is 105,286,583.
