The Board of Numis has received notification on 12 March 2007 that, the Numis
Corporation Plc Employee Share Trust ('the Trust') purchased 35,000 (0.033%)
Numis shares at a price of 320p per ordinary share. Following this purchase the
Trust now holds 9,584,437 (9.02%) Numis shares.

The Numis shares referred to above are Numis' ordinary shares of 5p each and the
total number of shares in issue is 106,252,148 with each ordinary share carrying
the right to vote. There are no shares held in treasury.
