Numis Corporation Plc ('Numis')

The Board of Numis received notification on 4 September 2007 that the Numis
Corporation Plc Employee Share Trust ('the Trust') purchased 396,614 (0.37%)
Numis shares at a price of 274.83p per ordinary share. Following this purchase
the Trust now holds 10,947,210 (10.28%) Numis shares.

The Numis shares referred to above are Numis' ordinary shares of 5p each and the
total number of shares in issue is 106,472,996 with each ordinary share carrying
the right to vote. There are no shares held in treasury.
