CONFIDENT OF ANOTHER GOOD YEAR



Roy Willis, the Chairman of NWF Group, speaking at the Annual General Meeting
held today in Cheshire, made the following comments on current trading:



I am pleased to be able to inform shareholders that our first Quarter's
results are in line with our internal plans for the period.  I would remind
shareholders of my Annual Report comment that this first half-year could be
lower than last year, due to the increased seasonality of the Group and the
start-up costs of the new Boughey Distribution warehouse, without this
necessarily having adverse implications for the full year.



Shareholders will be glad to know that we were able to do at least as well as
our various competitors in supplying our customers during the recent fuel
crisis and we do not anticipate that the Group will have suffered financially
over those few days beyond the fuel cost effects already in our budgets.



We fully expect to be able to make an announcement in the near future about
utilising the new distribution warehouse which has been completed and handed
over within budget and ahead of time.



Overall, I am confident that we can look forward to another good year.
