Senior investment teams join Oberon

Oberon Investments Group plc (AQSE: OBE), the boutique investment management, wealth planning and corporate broking group, announces that David Thompson will be joining the investment management division. Alongside this, the Company has also acquired a new team in the wealth planning division.

David Thompson joins the investment management division at Oberon from Investec, where he was a Senior Portfolio Manager for over 18 years and responsible for running over £180m of client assets. David has considerable experience working with clients in a wide variety of financial markets, having previously worked at Credit Suisse and Kleinwort Benson with a focus on providing a high level of personalised service for his extensive client base. David will be working with the central investment teams and act as a brand ambassador alongside other Oberon teams.

Oberon has also acquired a two-man team from a leading Wealth Management firm. The team bring strong investment backgrounds along with an established discretionary client base. They have over three decades of experience and their personal management style fits into Oberon's tailored approach. The team expect to transfer its client book over the next few weeks when their clients will be welcomed to Oberon.
