Ocado appoints Alex Mahon as new non-executive director

Ocado Group plc ("Ocado") today announces that Alex Mahon will join the Board as an independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 June 2012. Alex will also become a member of the Board's Audit Committee and Nomination Committee.

Alex Mahon, 38, is President and Chief Operational Officer of Shine Group, a leading global TV production company, a role she has held since 2006, where she has been instrumental in growing the company to its current revenues in excess of £500 million. She is also a Non-Executive Director of the Edinburgh TV Festival. She has previously held the posts of Chief Operational Officer at talkbackTHAMES and Director of Commercial Development and Strategy at FremantleMedia, working on company strategy, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. Alex has a Physics PhD and was a Medical Physicist in an NHS hospital before becoming a management consultant and then launching internet based retail businesses.
