CANAL+ Cyfrowy selects Orad's CyberSport to cover the Polish Ekstraklasa
football premier league
Orad Hi-Tec Systems (Symbol: OHT) announced today that CANAL+ Cyfrowy, the
broadcaster of the Polish Ekstraklasa football premier league, selected the
CyberSport system for introducing virtual advertisements and sports enhancement
features during the Ekstraklasa games.
CANAL+ plans to utilise the system to cover at least three main games every
weekend as well as for the weekly highlight show.
With CyberSport, real time 3D graphics and animation are superimposed on the
playing field and remain tied to their exact position regardless of the camera
movement. CyberSport's virtual advertisement plug-in opens to CANAL+ a new
revenue stream by placing virtual advertisements around or within the playing
field. Additionally, CANAL+ will utilise CyberSport to enhance the broadcast
feed with dedicated features such as distance measuring, 9 meters distance
indicator, statistics display and other features that increase the viewing
experience and thus rating.
Commenting on the deal Avi Sharir, President and CEO of Orad: 'CANAL+ Cyfrowy
joins a growing number of customers that adopted the CyberSport system.
CyberSport offers unique capabilities such as an embedded 4 zone chroma keyer,
extremely fast and accurate calibration and set up process and an intuitive and
simple user interface. Those were some of the parameters that led CANAL+ to
select CyberSport'.
'With this agreement CANAL+ Cyfrowy joins the French, Italian, Brazilian, Dutch,
Portuguese, Spanish, English, Belgium, Mexican, Turkish and many more leagues
that are all implementing the Orad sports solution during their football games',
Sharir summarised.
