ORAD affirms its leadership in the market of on-air 3D graphics
Orad Hi-Tec Systems (symbol:OHT), world leader in virtual sets, on-air graphics
and sports production tools, is affirming its leadership in the market of on-air
3D graphics
Two existing Orad clients have placed repeat orders for the Orad's on-air 3D
graphics software. M6, part of the RTL group, and 'Francaise d'image', the
production company in charge of all generic game shows in France, have completed
their installations with the addition of one and two CyberGraphics systems
respectively.
M6 will use this new CyberGraphics system to complement the existing live
graphics work currently done for its weather and news broadcasts by
CyberGraphics software. This system is to be installed for the production of
automated promotions. While promotions are traditionally produced manually on
frame-by-frame rendering graphics systems, the new CyberGraphics system will
generate daily television promotions in an automated and real-time manner, via
software integrated by VCF, one of the leading french companies for services in
broadcast.
'Francaise d'image' will be installing this month its sixth and seventh Orad DVG
systems with the CyberGraphics software. CyberGraphics will be used for all live
game shows to be put on air in the coming month. The game shows will feature
real time 3D graphics, dynamic 3D/2D text information and unique OpenGL lighting
effects as never seen before in French television game shows. French automated
graphics integrator Mplus, another user of Orad's DVG systems, and 3D graphic
design company Parallax were chosen to produce the pilots of the first game to
be aired with CyberGraphics.
Nabil Bouchiba, technical director at 'Francaise d'image', commented : 'We view
the relationship with Orad as a partnership where both companies learn from each
other, to grow in their respective fields. The relationship began almost two
years ago with Cyberset and, following excellent results, now moves into
additional live 3D graphics with Cybergraphics'.
These two sales come in addition to other sales of CyberGraphics software in the
last quarter to French clients such as TF1, who selected CyberGraphics as the
graphic platform for all their master control room requirements, and
Centreville, the leading facility in France for virtual graphics production.
