Appointment of New Director

The Board of Odyssean Investment Trust PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Neil Mahapatra as an independent, non-executive Director of the Company, with effect from Monday, 3 April 2023.

Mr Mahapatra is a Founder and Managing Partner of Kingsley Capital Partners LLP, a family office backed private investment firm that creates and builds businesses from inception. Through Kingsley, Mr Mahapatra has created numerous companies across different sectors, including FTSE-listed biotechnology firm Oxford Cannabinoid Technologies and UK wholesale fibre internet business Spring Fibre, which recently closed a £155m investment from the infrastructure fund of River & Mercantile plc. Neil is a Director of Oxford Cannabinoid Technologies Limited and is also Chair of the MASS Design Group, working with the two founders for over a decade to grow the organisation into one of the leading architecture & design firms in the world.

Previously he worked at J. Rothschild Capital Management, where he led the private investment activities for Lord Rothschild and RIT Capital Partners plc.

Neil began his career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and holds a BA in Biological Sciences from Oxford University, where he was President of the Oxford Union. He also holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School, where he was a Fulbright Scholar.

The Chair of Odyssean Investment Trust PLC, Jane Tufnell, commented:

Mr Mahapatra appointment will be proposed to shareholders for election at the Annual General Meeting of the Company to be held in September 2023.

Mr Mahapatra currently holds no ordinary shares in the Company.

There is no further information to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13R(2) to (6).
