Announcement of Trading Update and Analysts Conference Call
At 7.00 a.m. tomorrow, 16 May 2003, Old Mutual plc (OML.L) will be providing an
update on current trading ahead of the Company's Annual General Meeting, which
will take place in the Ballroom at Claridge's, London starting at 11.00 a.m.
A conference call for analysts and investors has been arranged at which Julian
Roberts, Group Finance Director, will answer questions. The call will start at
8.30a.m. (UK) 9.30 a.m. (SA) on 16 May 2003.

a 53% holding, will also issue simultaneously a statement on trading and the
