APPOINTMENT OF NEDBANK CHIEF EXECUTIVE DESIGNATE
Nedbank Group ('Nedbank'), the 55%-owned South African banking subsidiary of Old Mutual plc ('Old Mutual') has today announced the appointment of Mike Brown as Chief Executive Officer designate. He will replace Tom Boardman who retires in February 2010.
Mike Brown (42) is currently Nedbank Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Nedbank board and executive committee. Prior to joining Nedbank, he held various positions in BoE Limited ('BoE') which was acquired by Nedbank in 2003, latterly as Managing Director, BoE Corporate and main board director (1999 - 2002). He also spent four years at NBS Bank (1993 - 1996) and five years at Deloitte & Touche (1988 - 1993).
