   Share interests of persons discharging managerial responsibilities (PDMRs)

1. Net settlement of Deferred Delivery Awards by PDMR

Mr R J A Sparks, Managing Director of Old Mutual South Africa, exercised and
sold the following deferred delivery shares under the Old Mutual Share Option
and Deferred Delivery Plan on 6 March 2006:

The total number of deferred delivery shares in the Company held by Mr Sparks is
now 1,163,238, of which 593,611 have vested.
2. Release of Restricted Share Awards to PDMR

Mr S F Powers, Chief Executive of Old Mutual Asset Managers (US), received a
release of 123,233 shares under the Old Mutual Restricted Share Plan (RSP) on 6
March 2006 as follows:

The total number of shares in the Company contingently held under the RSP by Mr
Powers is now 711,689.

The total number of shares in the Company in which Mr Powers, (together with his
connected persons, for the purposes of section 346 of the UK Companies Act 1985)
is beneficially interested is now 290,499 (excluding non-vested RSP awards and
unexercised shares held under option).

3. Exercise of option by PDMR

On 13 March 2006, Mr M C Murray, Company Secretary of Old Mutual plc, exercised
an option over 34,782 shares under the Old Mutual Share Option and Deferred
Delivery Plan (originally granted on 26 February 2003 with an exercise price of
£0.8625 per share). Mr Murray personally funded the exercise of the option
retaining all of the shares. The total number of shares in the Company in which
Mr Murray, (together with his connected persons, for the purposes of section 346
of the UK Companies Act 1985) is beneficially interested is now 96,859
(excluding non-vested RSP awards and unexercised shares held under option). The
total numbers of shares in the Company held under option under the Old Mutual
Share Option and Deferred Delivery Plan and the Old Mutual UK Sharesave Plan by
Mr Murray is 285,272, of which 188,407 have vested.

4. Lapse of options under the Nedcor Group (1994) Employee Incentive Scheme

An option over 10,000 Nedbank Group Limited shares granted to Mr T A Boardman,
Chief Executive of Nedbank Group Limited, on 1 April 2003 and the associated
option over 4,167 shares (granted following a rights issue on 10 May 2004) will
lapse on 1 April 2006. These options were linked to the achievement by Nedbank
Group of predetermined financial targets, which have not been met.

After the lapse of options detailed above, the total number of Nedbank Group
Limited shares held by Mr Boardman under option under the Nedcor Group (1994)
Employee Incentive Scheme and the Nedbank Group (2005) Share Option, Matched
Share and Restricted Share Scheme is 662,951, of which 89,392 have vested.

5. Correction of details of PDMRs' dealings announced on 3 March 2006

The following corrections are made to the details of PDMRs' dealings announced
on 3 March 2006:

  • The number of shares retained by Mr R M Head, Group Director, Southern
    Africa, following the exercise of options under the Old Mutual Share Option
    and Deferred Delivery Plan was 311,307.

  • The number of deferred delivery shares that lapsed on 26 February 2006
    (originally granted to Mr Sparks on 26 February 2003) was 41,864.
